We are based in Portland, Oregon, looking to hire a remote position for a Part-Time Accountant – Pro Forma Financial Documentation Specialist

Our thriving IT managed service provider firm is in search of a meticulous and experienced part-time Accountant with a strong background in crafting detailed pro forma financial documents. This role is crucial in supporting our ambitious business plan that will undergo scrutiny by potential investment banks. The ideal candidate will have a knack for precision comparable to the standards of publicly traded firms like Unisys and Cognizant. Key Responsibilities:

1. **Drafting Financial Projections**: – Prepare projected income statements, cash flow statements, balance sheets, and other critical pro forma financial documents necessary for our business plan. – Conduct financial analysis and forecasting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

2. **Financial Modeling**: – Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support decision-making, including scenarios analysis and financial metrics computation.

3. **Investor Relations**: – Prepare financial materials for presentations to potential investors and investment banks, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and professionalism in all communications.

4. **Collaboration and Consulting**: – Work closely with the management team to understand operational assumptions and incorporate them into financial projections. – Consult and collaborate with external financial advisors to ensure the alignment of financial projections with industry expectations.

5. **Continuous Improvement**: – Stay abreast of accounting best practices, applicable laws, and standards to ensure our financial projections are up-to-date and compliant. – Recommend improvements to financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications: – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA designation preferred. – A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the IT or related industry. – Proven experience in preparing pro forma financial statements and other financial documents. – Proficient in financial modeling and advanced proficiency in Excel. – Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations as per GAAP. – Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a capacity to interact with team members and external stakeholders at all levels.
