As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team and ensure the smooth financial operation of our business.
Mission:
The mission of the Part-Time Bookkeeper at PitchFact is to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, provide biweekly reporting updates for management review, and proactively identify and address any financial issues that may arise. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of our financial data and supporting the company’s overall financial health.
Outcomes:
– Timely and accurate maintenance of financial records using QuickBooks.
– Biweekly delivery of comprehensive financial reports for management review.
– Identification and flagging of any financial issues as they arise.
– Collaboration with the management team to streamline financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping:
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks.
– Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents.
– Categorize and track expenses, ensuring proper documentation according to US laws and regulations.
Financial Reporting:
– Generate biweekly financial reports for management review.
– Summarize key financial metrics and trends.
– Provide insights and commentary on financial performance.
Issue Identification and Resolution:
– Proactively identify and flag any financial discrepancies or issues.
– Collaborate with the management team to address and resolve financial concerns.
– Suggest process improvements for greater efficiency.
Communication:
– Communicate effectively with the management team, providing updates on financial status.
– Respond promptly to inquiries and provide financial information as needed.
– Proactively request necessary information from management, providing accountability and consistency.
Required Competencies:
– QuickBooks Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in using QuickBooks for bookkeeping.
– Financial Acumen: Understanding of basic accounting principles, and ability to interpret financial statements and reports.
– Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, and the ability to convey financial information clearly and concisely.
– Proactive Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify and address financial issues proactively.
– Time Management: Efficiently manage time and ensure deadlines are met.
Additional Information:
– This is a part-time position, estimated at around 5 hours per week.
– The candidate will work remotely from the Philippines.
– The role will involve occasional (at least monthly) virtual meetings with the management team, along with regular communication via Microsoft teams.
