Part-Time Bookkeeper/Financial Forecaster

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper/Financial Forecaster to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all financial transactions are properly categorized in Wave Apps, providing insightful weekly financial reports, managing project budgets, handling client invoicing and accounts payable, and advising on financial strategies to optimize our capital deployment. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a strategic mindset.

Key Responsibilities:
Transaction Management:
Categorize all financial transactions accurately in Wave Apps.
Ensure all financial records are up-to-date and accurate.

Financial Reporting and Forecasting:
Prepare weekly financial reports detailing expenses, income, and bank and investment balances.
Provide forecasts and insights on financial trends and budget performance.

Budget Management:
Oversee and manage project budgets.
Monitor expenditure and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
Invoicing and Accounts Payable:

Manage client invoicing processes and ensure timely payments.
Handle accounts payable, including vendor payments and expense reimbursements.

Financial Strategy:
Identify opportunities for cost savings and more efficient capital deployment.
Advise on financial best practices and strategic financial planning.

Weekly Task Breakdown:
Monday (2 hours): Review and categorize transactions in Wave Apps.
Tuesday (2 hours): Manage and update project budgets.
Wednesday (1 hour): Process client invoices and handle accounts payable.
Thursday (2 hours): Prepare financial reports and conduct forecasting analysis.
Friday (2 hours): Strategic review of financial performance and planning for cost savings or capital redeployment.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management.
Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Wave Apps.
Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Good communication skills for reporting and advising on financial matters.
