Part-time Bookkeeper (Xero)

Expert Xero Bookkeeper & Finance
NOTE: This is NOT an entry-level position! You must have at least 5 years of experience in a finance-related background. This is a part-time, permanent bookkeeper position.

We are a small e-commerce company with a U.S. fulfillment center. We sell car audio equipment worldwide to individuals and retailers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Bank Reconciliation, accounts payable & accounts receivables
• Work with Shopify, Xero, Gusto, Melio, Cin7/DEAR systems, etc. to accurately reconcile revenue and expenses
• Month-end and Year-end processing, reconciliations, and data entry of required journals
• Google Sheets and Excel, data entry, and basic online research
• Must be able to communicate via email or Slack
• Current bookkeeper spends 14-18 hours/month on our account

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Must be fluent in written and spoken English
• Must have experience with e-commerce bookkeeping
• Must have experience with Xero and preferably Xero-certified
• Certificate IV or Degree in Bookkeeping or higher qualification will be an advantage
• Be a self-starter and is wired to “mark things off the list”
• Doesn’t like too much supervision, likes to work autonomously
• Must be able to cope with shifting priorities, difficult situations, and deadlines
• Working decent computer with monitor setup and a dedicated area for work
• Internet Speed – At least 20 MBPS Download speed

WORK HOURS
You have total freedom/flexibility with regards to working hours, as long as all monthly reconciliations are done by the 5th for the prior month all year, and also prioritize reconciliation in Nov/Dec months to being done weekly. You must be available to meet as needed (after the training period) in the evenings to accommodate US hours, though this will not be more often than 1-2x per month.
