Overview
We’re looking for a remote, part-time developer to work during normal US business hours, from as early as 9 am EST to as late as 5 pm PST. We have a small team currently working from 9 am to 2 pm EST but we’re looking for support for later in the day. This position is for a mid to senior-level front-end developer who would support our US clients which include mostly WordPress websites/web apps and Shopify stores. Having experience or experience with JS/CSS-based animation is a bonus.
This role exists to assist in the front-end development of our websites and web applications in harmony with the back-end developers. The candidate will be expected to deploy new features on a staging and production level across the tech stack.
You will be given tasks to complete for features to deploy, expected to provide estimates for said tasks, and expected to complete the tasks under time constraints. You will have freedom in terms of the actual implementation though there may be a senior who conducts code reviews from time to time.
You will be working with Project Managers and other team members such as the development, design, and QA team to iterate as fast as possible and at the highest quality.

Responsibilities
Web Development includes writing well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best practices
Ownership of code throughout development, staging, testing, and production
Work closely with other Web Developers, Project Managers, and the Quality Assurance team to provide clear communication through well document tasks in Jira and Slack, detailed specification documents (when necessary) with clear project deliverables and timelines via Agile Methodology
Proactively communicate with the team through efficiency to continually deliver assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Develop with UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web functions, and the latest standards in mind
Determine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations to the team for the best approach
Develop or implement procedures for ongoing website revision
Analyze a project’s needs to determine technical requirements
Seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships and as recommending improvements to the Project Manager for continuous improvement
Engage in outside-the-box thinking to provide high value-of-service to clients
Track time for all tasks in our time tracking tool and log tasks in JIRA
Experience
Must have:
3+ years of professional frontend development experience (HTML/CSS/JS)
3+ years in Agile software development (Scrum and Kanban)
3+ years of experience in using tools like Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence to collaborate with a team
3+ years experience in WordPress theme development
2+ years of Shopify Theme Development or liquid templates on another platform

Basic Git knowledge
Strong grasp of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Responsive Design for various breakpoints and able to test yourself thoroughly before sending to QA for review
Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform
