Job Description

We are in need of a part-time remote property manager / property accountant with Yardi Breeze software consulting experience. We are currently looking for a full-cycle Property Accountant with 1-3 years of experience who has amazing time-management skills, is detail-oriented, and preferred knowledge of Yardi Breeze. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Prepares timely, complete, and accurate monthly financial reports.
Responsible for cash management and processing of all payables.
Oversee all other accounting documents and records including coding of invoices, review of invoice coding, and/or entering invoices into the appropriate accounting software.
Assists with preparation of year end budgets.
Ensures correct application of cash receipts.
Calculates monthly management fees and analyzes accounts receivable balances to ensure proper reserves.
Responsible for accurate billing and review of monthly rent-up calculations and other non-revenue charges.
Ensures financial terms of tenant leases (base rent, % rent, recoveries, etc.) are billed correctly.
Assists property management teams in annual tenant recovery calculations and reconciliations.
May complete and enter lease abstracts into the appropriate accounting software per department/client guidelines. May enter and manage lease notes and maintain critical dates.
Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.

Education & Experience

1 year accounting, finance, or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience in real estate accounting and real estate accounting software (Yardi Breeze experience is highly, HIGHLY preferred)

1 year property management experience is preferred.

Communication Skills

Excellent English: written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
Ability to effectively present information in a clear, articulate, and accurate fashion.

Financial Knowledge

Ability to calculate figures such as percentages, discounts, interest, and commissions.
Requires strong analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to conduct independent financial analysis.

Other Skills/Abilities

Proficient knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite Products). Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required.
