Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper
Position Overview:
Join our team as a Part-Time Bookkeeper for our T-shirt company! This role involves handling various aspects of bookkeeping and accounting tasks for approximately 2 hours per day. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking orders, working in QuickBooks Online, creating invoices, and maintaining balanced spreadsheets. In addition to these responsibilities, the selected candidate will play a crucial role in a significant QuickBooks cleanup project as part of their initial tasks. This project is essential for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
Responsibilities:
Order Processing:
Efficiently handle incoming orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate with relevant departments to streamline order fulfillment processes.
QuickBooks Online:
Utilize QuickBooks Online to record and categorize financial transactions.
Generate reports and summaries to support decision-making processes.
Invoice Creation:
Create and issue invoices promptly and accurately.
Maintain a systematic record of all invoices for reference and auditing purposes.
Spreadsheet Balancing:
Regularly update and balance financial spreadsheets to ensure accuracy.
Reconcile discrepancies and troubleshoot any issues related to financial data.
General Bookkeeping and Accounting:
Perform routine bookkeeping tasks in adherence to established accounting principles.
Collaborate with the finance team to contribute to the overall financial health of the company.
Additional Project: QuickBooks Cleanup:
Data Review and Verification:
Thoroughly review existing data in QuickBooks Online to identify discrepancies or inaccuracies.
Verify transaction records, account balances, and categorizations to align with established accounting standards.
Reconciliation of Accounts:
Conduct a comprehensive reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements.
Resolve any discrepancies found during the reconciliation process to maintain accurate financial reporting.
Chart of Accounts Optimization:
Evaluate and optimize the Chart of Accounts to reflect the company’s current structure and financial needs.
Streamline account categories for improved financial tracking and reporting.
Transaction Cleanup:
Identify and address any duplicate or erroneous transactions within the system.
Ensure consistency and accuracy in recording financial activities.
Financial Report Analysis:
Generate financial reports and analyze them for inconsistencies or irregularities.
Provide insights and recommendations based on the analysis to enhance financial transparency.
Documentation and Training:
Document the cleanup process and any adjustments made for future reference.
Provide training or documentation to relevant team members on updated processes and procedures.
