Role: Social Media Strategist
Contract: Part-time Remote Contractor (80 hours monthly)
Business Hours: Monday-Friday from 9 AM PST- 5 PM PST (flexible hours)
Rate: Starts at $500-$600 USD monthly (salary is negotiated based on the level of expertise)

What you’ll do

Our client seeks a highly motivated and creative Social Media Strategist to join their team. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media, deeply understands digital trends, and is skilled at creating and executing effective strategies. In this role, you will be expected to manage content calendars, work closely with the content creator in conceptualizing captivating and trending posts, make sure there’s content ready to schedule on each account and improve on content ideas and strategy every month by looking at insights. Responsibilities of the role will include:

Content Calendar Strategy: This involves creating and executing a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the business objectives. You will:
Identify target audiences, platforms, and key performance indicators (KPIs), while also developing and maintaining a monthly content calendar.
Curate relevant content from various sources, tailoring strategies to each platform’s unique characteristics.
Craft attention-grabbing copy including captions, headlines, hooks, and CTAs.
Collaborate closely with Content Creators to transform ideas into captivating content, conceptualize infographics, photos and engaging carousels using storytelling techniques to effectively convey the messages through visual content.

Content Calendar Management: Your responsibilities will encompass planning and scheduling social media posts. You will:
Meticulously optimizing content for each platform, including tasks such as hashtag selection and crafting compelling captions.
Maintain alignment between the content and our overarching strategy and brand voice.
Oversee final reviews, edits, and approvals before scheduling and sharing.

Market Research & Competitor Analysis: You will be responsible for monitoring trends and keeping a close eye on competitor activities across social media. You will:
Identify opportunities to leverage trending topics.
Stay informed about the latest features and algorithms of various social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok, to ensure our strategies remain cutting-edge.

Insights Reporting: You will be instrumental in the agile management of our strategies, making real-time adjustments based on data and feedback. You will:
Leverage data insights and continuously refine and enhance our social media strategy to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with our objectives.

What you should have

Minimum of 2 years of social media marketing and management experience, specifically Instagram.
Background in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
In-depth knowledge of social media platforms and their respective best practices (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok & Twitter).
Experience using Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite.
Able to manage multiple content calendars and be on top of posting per content schedule.
Familiarity with social media management tools and scheduling platforms.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using is a plus.
Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative content ideas.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
A passion for staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
