We seek a creative and technically skilled Video Editor to join our team at a leading crypto news website. This remote, part-time position involves producing 4-10 engaging weekly videos or shorts/reels focused on the latest developments in cryptocurrency news. The role also includes creating compelling thumbnails to enhance video click-through rates when needed. This is an ideal role for those passionate about the crypto world and skilled in visual storytelling.

Responsibilities:

Edit and compile raw footage into polished videos for daily news updates, features, and informational shorts about cryptocurrency markets and technology.
Create eye-catching thumbnails that effectively convey the essence of the video content and encourage viewer engagement.
Ensure content coherence, maintain engagement, and tailor videos to the interests of crypto enthusiasts.
Work collaboratively with content creators and technical staff to refine video content.
Stay updated with the latest editing technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve production quality.

Requirements:

Proven video editing experience with a portfolio demonstrating your previous work (experience in news or technology-related projects is preferred).
Proficiency in editing software.
Skills in graphic design, particularly in creating engaging thumbnails for video content.
Strong understanding of the crypto industry and a keen interest in blockchain technology.
Ability to manage multiple projects per week and adhere to deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and a creative mindset for storytelling.
