Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced virtual tutor to provide personalized reading and math instruction to our children, who are currently in third grade and ninth grade. This part-time position offers the flexibility to work from home while making a significant impact on our children’s academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct engaging, one-on-one tutoring sessions in reading and math via Zoom.
– Develop and implement customized lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and learning styles of each child.
– Monitor and report on students’ progress, identifying areas for improvement and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly.
– Encourage and motivate students to achieve their academic goals.
Requirements:
– Proven experience in tutoring children, particularly in the subjects of reading and math.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and parents.
– A patient, supportive, and adaptive teaching approach.
– Available to work part-time, 2-3 hours per day, 3-4 hours per week, within the Eastern Standard Time zone between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
– Reliable internet connection and familiarity with Zoom and other online teaching tools.
– A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
