Patient Care and Support Specialist – $250 (SIGN-ON BONUS) – Permanent WORK FROM HOME

I am looking for a Patient Care and Support Specialist to support a healthcare company in the US. The ideal candidate has a customer-first mindset and aims to deliver high-quality service in every customer interaction.

Core Tasks:
– Submit prior authorization requests to insurance companies for patients
– Calling insurance to communicate clinical information and responding to questions about a patient’s record
– Document patient insurance information in a structured format
– Respond to patients based on company policies
– Assist in delivering and tracking small project deliverables in a dedicated workstream
– Support CX and customer onboarding tasks
– Ad hoc administrative tasks as needed

Must-Have:
– 2+ years experience in / exposure to the healthcare or hospitality industry with direct patient interactions
– 1+ years experience with Zendesk or similar helpdesk platform
– 1+ years experience with GSheets (basic – intermediate skills for data entry)
– Slack / Gmail for internal comms
– Ability to work MT
– Ability to potentially work weekends and holidays (including Christmas)
– Passion for people and compassion for others
– Exudes empathy and eagerness to understand patient needs/concerns and hopes. This involves actively listening, acknowledging concerns, and demonstrating genuine concern for their well-being.
– Ability to verbally communicate in a warm, reassuring and competent manner
– Strong written communication skills and ability to educate patients on processes
– Can think critically in “real-time”: Analyze situations, identifying potential issues, and devising effective solutions are important for handling unexpected challenges in patient care coordination
– Impeccable attention to detail and ability to document with 100?curacy

Job details:
Salary range: 33,000 – 53,000
Work Schedule: EST Night shift
Work setup: Permanent Work From Home
