Our client is looking for a Patient Support Specialist – a central role in communicating with patients through phone, chat, or email to provide timely assistance on issues that could arise in a patient’s care journey, from issues including appointment scheduling, locating pharmacies to fill prescriptions to technology support issues. This role is a key collaborator with our medical and behavioral health clinicians.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Act as the primary point of contact for patients throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
Provide exceptional patient experiences via phone, chat, or email by exemplifying our company standards, and ensuring prompt resolution of any administrative, medication, or service management matters that may arise.
Follow established workflows to guarantee patients and clinicians receive uniform, top-notch assistance and uphold meticulous documentation of the support provided in resolving care issues.
Engage in a collaborative, technology-driven, and team-focused environment dedicated to crafting an unparalleled care experience for patients via the app.
Become proficient in our array of technologies, encompassing our app, G-suite, Zoom, FreshWorks, Athena, and more, to effectively manage and address administrative and logistical tasks crucial to supporting patient care.
Work together with fellow medical and behavioral health clinicians to provide effective telehealth care support.
Any additional responsibilities as delegated.
Qualifications:
1-2 years related experience.
Medical experience required (ex. Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Tech etc.)
Knowledge of the American Healthcare System
Excellent English communication skills (American/Neutral Accent)
Bilingual Spanish is preferable, but not required.
Empathetic communicator with experience working directly with customers suffering from addiction.
Previous involvement in a fast-paced, pioneering contact center or care delivery setting (for instance, handling 80+ dials daily).
An initiative-driven individual with keen attention to detail and outstanding written and verbal communication abilities across phone, chat, and email platforms.
Dedication to understanding customer perspectives and a drive to attain objectives, coupled with the flexibility to think innovatively in overcoming potential obstacles and challenges.
A team-oriented individual who relies on data for decision-making, open to giving and receiving constructive feedback, all centered around the goal of continuous improvement.
Proficiency in computer technology, particularly in typing, utilizing available resources to the fullest extent, and adeptly navigating various software platforms such as Microsoft and Google Suites.
Continuous availability of a private workspace with high-speed internet and professionally suitable surroundings for regular video conferencing, along with a workstation setup conducive to remote work requirements.
