ABOUT US AND THE JOB ROLE
We are a UK based general accountancy practice and we are looking for someone to support the business owner and his team with payroll preparation, bookkeeping (using Xero and Excel), other accounting tasks and various administration duties.
We are a friendly team of 7 people and our office is located in the London Borough of Havering.
This role will provide the successful applicant with a wide range of experience relating to work within a UK accountancy practice. We aim to provide a personal service to our customers with a high level of attention to their needs and requirements.

JOB DETAILS
The role will be variable between providing services to our customers and other team members and also supporting the business owner. The work with the business owner will involve help with internal administration and the general running of the business.
Our customers are mainly small businesses, (sole traders and owner managed limited companies), and we are looking for an assistant to help with various aspects of their compliance with the UK authorities (H M Revenue & Customs and Companies House).
We will use technology to integrate our successful applicant as part of our business and to be one of our team. We all work together to help and support each other as well as our customers.
The main software products that we use in our business are Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Xero (for bookkeeping), Moneysoft Payroll Manager (for payroll & CIS) and TaxCalc (for accounts and tax return preparation). We would like applicants to tell us about any experience they may have with these software packages.

OUR REQUIREMENTS
We wish to appoint someone on a full time basis (35 hours per week). Where possible, we will be as flexible as we can with working hours to take into account the international time difference. Strong written and spoken English are required so that we can be confident of successful communications with our UK customers and other team members.
If you have previously worked for a UK based accountancy practice please tell us as much as you can about this role. We would also like details of any experience you may have of working for accounting firms based outside of the UK.
Salary will initially be based on experience and will be reviewed on a regular basis in accordance with performance levels and results achieved.
