Dedicated to safety, efficiency, and excellence, we are now looking to expand our team with a Payroll Officer who can contribute to our financial robustness and support our growth in the construction industry.

Your Role:
As a Payroll Officer at Premier Cranes & Rigging, you will play a pivotal role in managing our payroll functions to ensure accurate and timely payments to our employees, reflecting our commitment to staff welfare and regulatory compliance. This position focuses on executing all payroll activities, maintaining payroll system integrity, accounts receivable management, invoice review and enhancing payroll processes, ensuring the financial health of our operations.

What You’ll Do:

Weekly Payroll Execution:

Oversee the collection and verification of timesheets and execute error-free weekly pay runs.
Maintain and update payroll records in Micropay and Time Target systems, ensuring accuracy and currency of all data.

Responsive Support and Compliance:

Provide timely and accurate responses to employee payroll inquiries, maintaining a high standard of payroll service.
Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements related to payroll, including tax, superannuation, and leave entitlements.

Monthly Reporting and Reconciliation:

Prepare monthly wage journals and handle payroll-related payments and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
Collaborate with finance and project teams to align payroll processing with overall financial management.

Systemisation and Continuous Improvement:

Develop and refine payroll systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Document all processes in SystemHUB and manage tasks through Asana for clear visibility and control.

Knowledge in Accounts Receivable and Invoice Review will also be part of the role and is highly desirable.

Who You Are:

Skilled in Payroll Administration: You have a solid background in payroll functions, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Technologically Adept: Proficient in payroll software such as Micropay and Time Target, and skilled in using system documentation tools like Asana and SystemHUB.

Proactive and Problem-Solving Oriented: Capable of identifying issues and implementing effective solutions promptly.

Excellent Communicator: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization.
