We are looking for a Payroll Officer to support the HR Department of our Solar/ Construction Industry client based in Australia.
Your days will be filled with:
Process and manage the End to end-to-end payroll cycle accurately and on time for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and contract workers.
Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings based on employee information and relevant regulations.
Maintain employee payroll records, including changes in salary, benefits, tax withholdings, and deductions.
Prepare and submit payroll reports to management, accounting, and government agencies as required.
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Provide support to employees regarding payroll inquiries, including salary inquiries, tax withholding questions, and benefit deductions.
Assist with payroll-related projects and initiatives, such as system upgrades, process improvements, and compliance audits.
Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll-related information.
Prepares payroll report
Who we are looking for:
Experience in using KeyPay Payroll Software is a must
Experience in Xero is a plus
Above 1 year of experience with the Australian Payroll Process in solar, electric, or construction industry
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration
Previous experience in Australian payroll processing or a related field.
Knowledge of payroll software: Experience in using KeyPay, Xero
Strong understanding of Australian payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

A laptop with a Core i5 processor and 8 GB RAM (Desktops will not be acceptable. Please include your machine specs in the “tell us a few words about yourself” section
Experienced and adept in working with dual monitors
A second monitor to be used as an extended screen
Minimum of 20mbps internet subscription plan
