PCB Design Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

Under the technical supervision of the PCB Layout Team Leader, the PCB Layout Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the schematic design as defined by the Electrical Design Engineer is accurately captured into the PCB design tool and that the applicable PCB guidelines and requirements are met during layout. Familiar with CAN.

II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Creates and maintains the parts design footprint library that will be used in all projects and product designs of Design and Development Group

2. Ensures that all parts entries are updated and have met all the requirements found in the manufacturer’s specification and applicable in-house design rules applied

3. Ensures that the feedbacks and updates regarding the parts are properly verified and incorporated into the library

4. Reviews alternate parts and submits recommendations to Electrical Design Engineer(s) concerned

5. Captures the schematics design and mechanical board outline into the PCB design tool

6. Coordinates with the PCB Layout Team Leader and Electrical Design Engineer for design and project timelines and requirements

7. Layouts PCB in close coordination with Electrical Design and Mechanical Design Engineers to ensure that all requirements that have direct impact on the electrical/mechanical characteristics of the PCB are met and complied with

8. Implements all applicable Design-for-Manufacturability and Design-for-Testability requirements in the PCB

9. Conducts periodic PCB layout review together with PCB Layout Team Leader and the Electrical Design Engineer

10. Reviews working Gerber from PCB suppliers and fabricators

11. Complies Gerber files, special instructions and manufacturing files needed for the PCB fabrication and assembly and submits the same to PCB Layout Team Leader for review and release

12. Performs other functions as maybe required by the superior after due training /qualification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30,000.00 – Php50,000.00 per month
