This is where you come in –
We need you to do the bookkeeping for our clients, so Marie, our owner, can focus on growing the business.
You will be responsible for end-to-end bookkeeping, interacting with clients, understanding some very basic Federal tax codes regarding deductibility of business expenses, and payroll. You will be working hand in hand with our accounting team, contribute to firm growth strategies, and pursue opportunities for professional advancement.

JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a tech-savvy self-starter with strong problem-solving and planning abilities, someone who is comfortable asking for help, and is eager to make a difference through effective time management.
You will work with a small and growing team of awesome accounting and bookkeeping pros in various roles, ensuring the quality of work is high and deadlines are met or exceeded. We’ll provide training on our internal systems and processes.
Main Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end bookkeeping tasks
Transaction coding (income and expense), account reconciliations, troubleshooting
Full cycle accounting
Create various financial statements and
report
Prepare financial reports using Fathom software
1099 filing at year-end
Prepare payroll for clients using Gusto platform
Communicate with clients (email. text and Zoom)
We work with Quickbooks Online, Xero, and Gusto.

PAY

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
– Honest
– Reliable
– Confidentiality
– Fluent in English (verbal and written skills)
– Fast, stable, secure internet connection
– Able to troubleshoot your own problem
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or any related field
– Certified Bookkeeper
– End-to-end bookkeeping experience (at least 2 years)
– Comfortable with accounting/bookkeeping software – QBO, Xero, Gusto
– 1099 filing experience
– Excellent skills with Google Workspace – Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc.
Work Environment: Be able to work privately (you’re accessing confidential financial information) during work hours.
Preferred (Nice to Have):
– CPA
– Familiarity with project management software and tools – MeisterTask, HubDoc
– Familiarity with US Federal tax code
– Familiarity with 3rd Party App Integration (like A2X)
WORKING HOURS
Pretty flexible. The only required time to work together is during the one-hour weekly team meeting.
