Job Summary:
As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for undertaking all production accounting activities. Your responsibilities will include:
Management of the ongoing accounting and compliance process and workflow items including gathering and filing all relevant client information, maintaining records, general ledger reconciliations, month-end closes, taxation compliance, financial statements, management reporting tasks and preparing job notes for client correspondence and meetings etc.
Effectively manage and complete personal workflow requirements (including working with the junior accountant).
Preparation and lodgement of monthly, quarterly, or annual Activity Statements (IAS or BAS).
Preparation of a complete set of financial statements for different entity types (companies, trusts, partnerships) from trial balance through to final financial statements.
Preparation of tax returns for different entity types (business entities and individuals).
Monthly/quarterly management reporting.
Tax planning projects, including assistance with managing Division 7A compliance and annual trust distribution and company dividend distributions.
Business advisory projects such as budgets, cash flow forecasting and other reporting.
Maintenance of Fixed asset registers.
Helping to continually improve processes and procedures and maintain high standards of our work product and file management system.
