Description
We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to manage our financial information and support us in making informed financial decisions. The ideal candidate should have an excellent understanding of accounting principles and be proficient in bookkeeping, projections, and budgeting. They will be responsible for tracking spending, breaking down monthly expenses, analyzing monthly recurring subscriptions, identifying anomalies in expenses, assisting in budgeting, projections, and ensuring the accuracy of company expense reimbursements.
Responsibilities
Regular bookkeeping: Maintain complete and accurate financial records, including general ledger functions, bank reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
Expense Tracking: Categorize and track the personal and company related spending to provide a clear overview of financial expenditures.
Living Expenses Analysis: Break down and report on monthly living expenses, providing insights and recommendations for efficiency and cost-saving.
Subscription Management: Monitor monthly recurring subscriptions, calculate annual costs, and identify potential areas for cost reduction.
Anomaly Detection: Investigate and report any abnormal or anomalous expenses, contributing to fraud prevention and financial transparency.
Budgeting Assistance: Collaborate with the management team to plan budgets, forecast future spending, and provide support in achieving financial goals.
Expense Reconciliation: Compare the reimbursements for company expenses with what was actually paid on behalf of the company, ensuring accuracy and integrity in the financial reporting.
Forecasting: Build predictive models that allow the ability to forecast expenses that are fixed as well as variable costs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5 years of experience in accounting services
Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role in the financial sector.
Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and knowledge of relevant accounting software.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with accounting software and tools like QuickBooks or similar software
Fluent in English.
CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
