Job Type: Part Time, 5 days a week
Overview: I am seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Personal Assistant to support personal job search efforts. This role requires strong digital literacy, especially in handling professional social media platforms like LinkedIn and job search websites such as Indeed. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing job applications, maintaining detailed records, and ensuring secure communication.
Responsibilities:
• Convert Word documents to PDF using Microsoft Word (Preferred) or Google Docs.
• Manage personal email, LinkedIn, and Indeed login credentials securely.
• Regularly update LinkedIn profile based on provided resume and knowledge documents.
• Conduct daily searches on job boards such as Indeed and LinkedIn for specific roles within the specified salary range and geographic area.
• Apply to suitable job positions while avoiding specific roles (e.g., Dispatcher, Maritime, positions).
• Review generated comprehensive reports based on job descriptions and resume (semi-automated task).
• Create and customize cover letters to accompany resumes for each application (semi-automated task).
• Maintain a detailed spreadsheet of job applications, including follow-ups, company names, addresses, job position titles, and submission dates.
• Research employer addresses using Google and save job application documents in an organized manner.
• Engage in regular communication via phone, Zoom, or Google Meet as needed.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with VPN usage and understanding of basic online security protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and format documents precisely.
• Excellent research and reporting skills.
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Work hours are flexible, but need to communicate with me as needed, between 8 – 9AM EST, as needed.
I am looking to conduct Zoom interviews as early as tomorrow. I aim to make a hiring decision quickly, with the hope that training can begin immediately. I also run a part-time business that may eventually require your skills. Initially, my primary focus will be on your role as a personal assistant. After a few weeks of collaboration, and if you demonstrate the ability to manage your initial responsibilities effectively, there will be an opportunity to expand your duties. I am based in the United States in the Eastern Standard Time zone.
