Personal Assistant for Contract/Builder with Homesteading Hobby

In this role, you will be joining a Contractor/Builder in the second year of running a Porch building business and the fifth year of running a family homestead in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. There is more admin work than I can manage by myself and I need someone to join part-time to share the load. After balancing the load, I anticipate we will be able to scale the business enough to hire the candidate full-time. I need assistance automating the porch business and managing the homestead projects.

I am looking for someone with 1+ years experience as a personal assistant to a business owner, or related experience. The candidate will need to be adaptable to change within a young and growing business. They will need to execute tasks by exhausting all possible solutions and feel comfortable reporting when they need help. Clear, concise, relevant communication is most important.

The role is part-time, 10-20 hours per week to start and scaling to full-time. Training will be provided for generic personal assistant tasks/tools and ad hoc training for specific tasks.

This role will also be assisting with personal life organization, particularly around running a homesteading household and family with children. There is room to grow. I hope this role will stay for many years and will become a part of the story of running businesses and raising the next generation of children. Passion for homesteading/family is a HUGE bonus.
