Job Description

I’m are on the lookout for a diligent and meticulous Personal Finance Manager and Virtual Accountant to take charge of comprehensive personal financial management tasks. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities from daily expense tracking and subscription management to the preparation of financial statements and support with tax documentation. The position will initially require full-time engagement for the first month to establish and streamline processes, transitioning to part-time as routines and systems are set in place.

Responsibilities:
Daily Financial Oversight: Track, categorize, and record daily transactions, ensuring accurate financial data.

Subscription Management: Review and manage monthly subscriptions, recommending and implementing cancellations of unused services.

Weekly Financial Reporting: Compile detailed weekly reports highlighting spending trends, income, and savings.

Financial Document Management: Organize financial documents, including receipts, invoices, and contracts, ensuring easy access and review.

Monthly and Annual Financial Summaries: Prepare accurate monthly summaries and annual profit and loss statements to support financial analysis and tax preparation.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of a budget and financial forecasts, providing insights into future financial planning.

Investment and Debt Monitoring: Keep track of investment portfolios and liabilities, offering summaries for review and management strategies for debts.

Financial Health Reviews: Conduct periodic financial health assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with financial goals.

System Implementation: Collaborate in setting up efficient systems and processes for ongoing financial management, aiming for a seamless transition to part-time maintenance.

Requirements:
Experience: Proven track record in accounting, bookkeeping, or personal finance management. Previous work in similar roles should be highlighted in the application.

Software Proficiency: Strong familiarity with accounting and financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, Mint) and proficiency in using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Candidates should provide examples of previous work or projects using these tools.

Tax Preparation Knowledge: Understanding of basic tax principles and experience preparing financial documents for tax purposes.

Communication Skills: Fluent in English, with exemplary communication skills for regular reporting and discussions.
Independence and Attention to Detail: Ability to work independently, demonstrating accuracy and a keen eye for details.

Confidentiality: A strong commitment to confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive financial data.

Adaptability: Openness to work across different time zones and adapt to the client’s schedule for updates and meetings.

Compensation:
with the role requiring full-time hours for the initial month. Subject to performance and successful
implementation of systems, the position will transition to part-time for the same rate.
