PH CPA or CA – Australia – Long Term – Accountant

We are a marketing company who have been working with a Filipino team for 11 years, with many people staying in their roles long-term (4-9 years).

We are looking to add a CPA (Filipino qualification) to our core team.

THE ROLE
The role involves many regular accounting tasks, at or above Australian standards. In-house training about the company and accounting practices is provided. There is an opportunity for promotion to management level after some time. We have a bookkeeper who enters almost all transactions. This role is more focussed on quality control, accounting checks and financial figures preparation. Hours are Monday – Friday, 7am – 4pm PH time, with a 1 hour lunch each day. Occasional overtime is required, but it is not often (a handful of times per year). Total pay is PHP40000 per calendar month, paid fortnightly, as a regular contractor (with long-term contract). Pay includes pension, housing, 13 month pay etc. It is the gross amount.

This role is exclusive, meaning you will not be able to contract or work elsewhere at the same time.

THE COMPANY
We are an advertising company, representing many recognised brands, across Australia. There are 24 people on our core team (career roles) plus 100-200 casuals on our ground team. We have been working with the Philippines for 11 years. Many core team members remain with the company for 5+ years. The team is respectful and cohesive.

RESPONSIBILITIES – Training will be provided for company standards
– Reconciling bank accounts
– Reconciling credits card statements
– GST reporting preparation
– Payroll
– Superannuation
– Setup of payments in banking
– End of financial year accounts preparation for Australian CPA
– Bookkeeping quality control checks

AN IDEAL APPLICANT – If you do meet these requirements, let us know equivalent experience
– Filipino CPA
– 2+ years experience in Australian bookkeeping
– 2+ years experience practicing accounting in PH or Aust
– Excellent English
– Attention to detail
– Ability to work towards zero errors
– Honest and loyal
– Calculating Australian payroll is a plus but not required
– Quickbooks online experience is plus but not required
