Photo Retoucher – Product Photography Project
Job Summary
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Photo Retoucher for a short-term project aimed at elevating the visual appeal of our product photography. This project involves color balancing and enhancing approximately 30 existing images to ensure they meet our high standards for digital presentation. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of color theory, expert proficiency in photo editing software, and a meticulous eye for detail to bring our product images to their full potential.
Responsibilities
Color Balancing: Apply advanced color correction techniques to ensure consistency and accuracy across all product images.
Image Enhancement: Enhance image quality by adjusting brightness, contrast, saturation, and sharpness to highlight product features and appeal.
Retouching: Perform detailed retouching tasks, including but not limited to, removing blemishes, dust, or any unwanted elements to achieve clean and appealing product photos.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all retouched images meet brand guidelines and are optimized for digital use, maintaining integrity in various digital formats.
Requirements
Expertise in Adobe Photoshop: Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and/or Lightroom, with a strong focus on color correction and image editing techniques.
Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing before-and-after samples of product photography or similar projects, highlighting your ability to enhance and balance colors effectively.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, with a keen eye for aesthetics, color, and composition.
Project Management: Ability to manage time effectively, ensuring timely delivery of each retouched image without compromising quality.
Communication: Strong communication skills to understand project requirements fully and collaborate with the team for any clarifications or adjustments.
Qualifications
Significant experience as a Photo Retoucher, specifically with product photography or in a related field.
A background in Photography, Digital Arts, or a related discipline is advantageous but not mandatory with a strong portfolio.
Work Environment and Compensation
This is a project-based, remote position.
Compensation will be project-based and negotiated based on the scope of work and the candidate’s experience.
