PHP DevOps Engineer

Nautical Staffing is a looking for an experienced, determined, and personable PHP DevOps Engineer to Help our client in the IT Field in the US.

Responsibilities:
– Responsible for web development, deployment automation, release management and troubleshooting.
– Manage the deployment processes, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
– Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the development, testing, and production environments.
– Log into servers to diagnose and resolve any technical issues.
– Assist in the administration of Linux-based systems.
– Monitor system performance and reliability, implementing improvements as needed.
– Ensure server security and compliance with industry standards.
– Write and maintain code for automation and system management tasks.
– Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and ensure smooth deployments.
– Develop and maintain scripts for automation using PHP, Python, Bash, or other relevant technologies.
– Configure and manage web deployment environments such as Apache, Nginx, MySQL, etc.
– Ensure optimal performance and scalability of web services.
– Develop and implement automated processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
– Utilize configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet) to automate server setup and management.
– Continuously evaluate and integrate new technologies to streamline operations.
– Set up and manage monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.
– Participate in on-call rotation to respond to critical system alerts and incidents.

Qualifications:
– at least 1 year experience as a DevOps Engineer.
– Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and system administration.
– Experience developing in PHP systems
– Strong knowledge or proficiency in full-stack development
– Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, etc.
– Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent.
– Strong knowledge and experience setting up and maintaining Docker containers
– Knowledge of container orchestration methods using tools like Kubernetes
– Understanding of networking, security best practices, and server management.
– Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and identify root causes in tech stacks.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
– Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
– Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
– Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack (or similar Software)
– Certification in relevant DevOps or cloud technologies preferred.
