PHP/WP Dev for AI Platform (Code Librarian)

This is a Job Application for for the Code Librarian position at CodeWP (WPAI Inc). CodeWP is building AI tools for WordPress creators. We’re a lean, 100% remote, AI startup.

The Librarian is a unique role combining PHP development and marketing support to enhance our platform’s functionality and reach. You will focus on PHP development to create code snippets, review existing code generations, and grow the backend knowledge base (consisting of articles, code, notes, etc…). Additionally, you will support marketing initiatives, leveraging your technical expertise to create content that promotes our platform and engages our target audience.

We are not hiring a “VA”. We are looking for a long term contractor which will be an integral part of our core team.

## Key Responsibilities
Reviewing code generated by the CodeWP platform for accuracy and best practices. Editing it if required.
Creating one off code snippets to fulfill a specific task.
Using the CodeWP platform to generate code which solves a users issue.
Sharing code snippets online as a means of marketing.
Responding to technical user questions.
Creating, adding to, editing, and reviewing an internal database of code snippets, documentation, etc.. which is used by our Platform’s AI.

Depending on your skills, you can also work on the frontend (React) or backend (Laravel) of the platform, if this is something you’d like to do.

If you have built WordPress plugins and/or worked as technical support for a theme/plugin/hosting company, you’ll be a good fit for this position.

##Required Skills
– PHP, CSS, HTML, JS
– Understanding of (/skill in) React is a plus
– Fluent English
– Deep understanding of WordPress (plugin development, code snippets, process of building a site, Gutenberg blocks)
– Time Management: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
– Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with the team on Slack.
