Physician for Cruise Ship

Responsibilities:

-Serve as the primary medical provider for passengers and crew members on the cruise ship.
-Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses, ensuring high-quality care at all times.
-Administer necessary medical treatments, medications, and emergency interventions as required.
-Oversee the ship’s medical facility, ensuring it is well-equipped and fully stocked with essential medical supplies.
-Collaborate with the ship’s captain, crew members, and other medical staff to ensure seamless medical operations on board.
-Conduct regular medical screenings and health assessments for passengers and crew members, ensuring their well-being during the journey.
-Communicate effectively with the ship’s medical team and shore-based healthcare providers for medical consultations and support when necessary.
-Uphold strict medical standards, protocols, and regulations set forth by maritime health authorities and Carthona Medical Group.
-Provide health education and promote preventive measures to enhance the overall well-being of passengers and crew members.
-Remain on-call and available 24/7 to handle medical emergencies and respond to medical incidents promptly.

Qualifications:

-Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited medical school.
-Active medical license in the Philippines or relevant country.
-Board certification or specialization in a relevant medical field (e.g., Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine).
-Proven experience in general medical practice with a strong background in emergency care.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse individuals and cultures.
-Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills.
-Knowledge of maritime medical protocols and regulations is a plus but not mandatory.
-Willingness to travel and work on board a cruise ship for extended periods.
