Job Description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Podcast Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio and video editing, with a keen eye for creating engaging content across various platforms. As a Podcast Editor, you will be responsible for editing our audio podcasts, video content for YouTube, creating social media shorts, and designing eye-catching YouTube thumbnails.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Edit Audio Podcasts:**
– Perform detailed editing of audio recordings to ensure high-quality sound.
– Remove background noise, adjust levels, and enhance clarity.
– Add intro/outro music, sound effects, and advertisements as needed.
– Ensure the final audio product is polished and ready for publication.

2. **Edit Podcast Videos for YouTube:**
– Edit and synchronize video footage with the podcast audio.
– Add visual elements such as titles, graphics, and transitions.
– Ensure the final video is engaging, well-paced, and visually appealing.
– Optimize video content for YouTube’s platform and audience.

3. **Edit Social Media Shorts:**
– Create short, engaging clips from podcast episodes for social media platforms.
– Tailor content to fit the format and audience of each platform (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, Facebook).
– Add captions, text overlays, and other visual elements to enhance engagement.
– Collaborate with the social media team to ensure consistency in branding and messaging.

4. **Create YouTube Thumbnails:**
– Design eye-catching and click-worthy thumbnails for YouTube videos.
– Use graphic design software to create custom thumbnails that stand out.
– Ensure thumbnails are consistent with the overall branding and style of the channel.
– Continuously test and optimize thumbnail designs to improve click-through rates.

**Requirements:**

– Proven experience in audio and video editing.
– Proficiency with editing software such as Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
– Strong understanding of social media platforms and content optimization.
– Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) for thumbnail creation.
– Excellent attention to detail and a creative mindset.
– Ability to meet deadlines and work independently as well as part of a team.
– Strong communication skills and the ability to take feedback constructively.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

– Experience in podcast production and editing.
– Knowledge of YouTube SEO and best practices.
– Familiarity with audio equipment and recording techniques.
– Basic understanding of marketing and audience engagement strategies.
