Podcast Editor

We are seeking a skilled and creative Podcast Editor to assist with editing episodes of our IG live series, ‘Braid Talk Tuesdays,’ and transform them into a YouTube podcast. As the Podcast Editor, your primary responsibility will be editing podcast episodes for our YouTube channel, ensuring they meet our quality standards and style.

Responsibilities:
– Edit Braid Talk Tuesday IG live episodes, ranging from 40 – 60 minutes in length, and transform them into YouTube podcasts while ensuring high-quality audio and overall production value.
– Conduct thorough audio clean-up, including noise reduction, equalization, and dynamic range compression, to enhance the listening experience.
– Edit out any mistakes, pauses, or irrelevant content, while maintaining the natural flow and coherence of the conversation.
– Add intros, outros, music, and other relevant audio elements to enhance the overall presentation.
– Collaborate with the podcast host and team members to ensure the final product meets the desired creative vision and brand standards.
– Meet tight deadlines and deliver edited episodes on schedule.
– Maintain an organized system for file management and archiving of podcast episodes.

Requirements:
– Proven experience as a podcast audio editor
– Proficiency in audio editing software and tools.
– With an understanding of audio mixing, mastering, and post-production techniques.
– Ability to work independently
– Detail-oriented mindset with a keen ear for audio quality.
– Strong time management and organizational skills.
– Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote team members.
– Availability to work Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8pm – 11pm EST.
