Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Podcast Editor to join our team. As a Podcast Editor, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality audio content by editing and enhancing raw recordings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of audio editing software, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for storytelling through sound.

Responsibilities:
Edit raw audio recordings to ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency in accordance with established style guidelines.
Enhance audio quality through noise reduction, equalization, compression, and other editing techniques.
Seamlessly integrate music, sound effects, and other audio elements to enhance the overall listening experience.
Collaborate closely with producers, hosts, and other team members to understand the vision and objectives of each episode.
Provide creative input and suggestions for improving the structure, pacing, and flow of episodes.
Manage and organize audio files and project assets efficiently.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in podcast editing.

Requirements:
Proven experience (1+ years) as a podcast editor or audio engineer.
Proficiency with audio editing software such as Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of audio production techniques, including equalization, compression, and noise reduction.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Attention to detail and a keen ear for identifying and correcting audio imperfections.
Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and a desire to innovate within the audio medium.
Knowledge of copyright laws and licensing agreements related to music and sound effects used in podcasts.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with podcast hosting platforms such as Libsyn, Podbean, or Anchor.
Familiarity with additional audio production techniques such as Foley artistry or field recording.
Experience with remote recording setups and audio synchronization.
Portfolio or samples demonstrating previous podcast editing work.
