Podcast Manager

We are seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) freelance Podcast Manager to work with one of our clients. This role involves overseeing the entire production process of the podcast series, including editing audio to remove noise and irrelevant content, timestamping key sections, and posting episodes on platforms like Anchor. You will also be responsible for creating engaging descriptions, editing video clips for promotional purposes, and sending these clips to guests. Additionally, managing guest bookings, coordinating details, and ensuring a smooth recording process are key aspects of the job.

You will collaborate with the marketing team to promote episodes and increase audience engagement. Strong experience in audio editing, familiarity with podcast platforms, and excellent communication skills are essential. The position offers remote work flexibility with occasional in-person meetings. Edit audio of previously recorded podcasts to ensure clarity and quality.
Timestamp the best sections of each podcast episode for easy reference and promotional purposes.
Post edited podcast episodes on platforms like Anchor, ensuring timely and accurate uploads.
Write engaging and accurate descriptions for each podcast episode, summarizing key points and highlights.
Edit video clips from podcast recordings for promotional use and send these clips to guests for their own promotion.
Help with booking and scheduling guests for future podcast episodes, ensuring all details are confirmed and guests are prepared for recording sessions.
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote episodes and increase audience engagement.
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Seek new ways to improve the overall podcast program through innovative tools, technologies, and best practices.
Provide strategic recommendations and assist with project management related to podcast promotion and guest coordination.

Boxes to check
Minimum of 3 years of experience in podcast production or audio editing with a working knowledge of:
Audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Audition, Audacity)
Podcast platforms like Anchor
Video editing tools for creating promotional clips
Writing engaging content, specifically podcast descriptions
Guest booking and coordination
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, or a related field preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
Experience with social media promotion strategies
Proven track record of creating high-quality podcast content
Familiarity with best practices in podcast production and promotion
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing error-free work
