We are seeking a talented and experienced Video Editor to join our team for the production of the “Conscious Design” podcast. As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging and visually appealing video content from the podcast episodes. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in editing both video and audio, along with experience using tools like Descript, Asana, Slack, and possibly Squadcast.
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE EDITING IN DESCRIPT AND CAN TAKE A FULL RAW VIDEO AND CREATE FINAL VIDEO ALONG WITH CREATING SHORTS FOR SOCIAL MEDIA.
Responsibilities:
Edit podcast episodes into engaging video content, ensuring high-quality visuals and audio.
Create short video clips suitable for social media platforms, capturing key moments and highlights from each episode.
Incorporate graphics, text overlays, and other visual elements to enhance the short-form video content for social media use.
Collaborate with the podcast team to understand the vision and tone of each episode, ensuring that the full-length episodes and short-form videos align with the brand’s aesthetic and messaging.
Manage and organize media assets efficiently, including footage, audio files, and graphics, for both full-length episodes and social media shorts.
Implement feedback and revisions from the podcast team to continuously improve the quality of the video content for both long-form and short-form formats.
Ensure timely delivery of edited videos and social media shorts according to the podcast production schedule.
Stay updated on video editing trends, techniques, and software to enhance editing skills and efficiency.
Assist with other multimedia projects or tasks related to the podcast production, as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Video Editor, with a strong portfolio demonstrating video editing skills and creativity.
Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
Experience with audio editing software, such as Audacity or Adobe Audition, for optimizing podcast audio quality.
Familiarity with Descript for editing audio and generating transcripts is preferred.
Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a remote team.
Experience using project management tools like Asana for task organization and tracking.
Proficiency in communication tools like Slack for team communication and collaboration.
Familiarity with Squadcast or similar platforms for remote podcast recording is a plus.
A passion for podcasts, storytelling, and visual storytelling techniques.
Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
