Power BI Specialist

Position Overview:

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, visualization excellence, and user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

-Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements.
-Design and develop interactive and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards that convey insights effectively.
-Create data models and establish relationships between various data sources to enable efficient data analysis.
-Implement data cleansing, data validation, and data transformation processes to ensure data quality and accuracy.
-Integrate Power BI reports and dashboards with other business tools and applications to facilitate seamless data flow and automation.
-Identify and resolve performance issues within Power BI reports and dashboards.
-Implement best practices to enhance report loading and rendering times.
-Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.
-Provide training and support to end-users and colleagues on Power BI usage and best practices.
-Monitor data quality and integrity, proactively identifying and addressing data issues.
-Recommend and implement improvements to existing Power BI solutions based on user feedback and changing business needs.

Nice to have:

-Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources into Power BI using Power Query.
-Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features, updates, and industry best practices.
-Create documentation for Power BI solutions, including data models, report design, and data sources.
-Establish and maintain data governance practices, including data lineage, version control, and metadata management.
-Collaborate with database administrators and data engineers to optimize data retrieval and storage.

Qualifications:

-Proven experience as a Power BI Specialist or similar role.
-Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, and M language.
-Strong SQL skills for data retrieval and manipulation.
-Knowledge of data visualization best practices.
-Experience in data modeling and designing scalable data architectures.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
-Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
-Fluent in English.
-Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
