As the PPC Manager you are being entrusted with a critical role for our brand. You will be a key member of our team and be involved in the most important meetings and decisions we make as a company. You will get the experience of seeing how a successful company is created and grown from the ground up, and will yourself have a critical role in growing it.

Role Summary:

The PPC Manager is responsible for the brand’s Amazon PPC Performance. They co-create the PPC strategy alongside the brand owner by understanding the company’s goals, as well as the goals for each product, then setting up and actively managing the PPC campaigns to align with these goals.

Maintaining advertising campaigns for products in “maintenance” or “scale” should use the same strategy that delivers results based on the targets set per SKU.

PPC has now become the main lever for launching new products on Amazon and therefore the PPC Manager will be responsible for creating those campaigns, optimizing them for hitting launch targets, and working with the Brand Management team to decide when a product can move out of the launch phase.

Responsibilities and Domains of Agency:

• Strategy
o Document and publish the PPC strategy for anyone in the company to follow.
? Do not rely upon reactive measures, follow the documented plan as results will be weighed against it
o Defining the PPC goals to support the overall company’s goals and the goals for each product
o Transcribe the brand’s goals into actionable PPC strategies.
o Determining what actions outside of PPC must be taken in order for the PPC to succeed (ex. new product images, increasing review velocity, etc).
o Revisiting and crafting strategy necessary to hit the PPC goals on a yearly, quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis.
o Creating the plan of action and implementing the processes/workflows and tools necessary to execute any/all strategies developed.
o Attending leadership meetings with the rest of the company to realign with priorities, update on PPC performance, and feedback data and information.
• Management
o Creating an organized and effective campaign structure.
o Setting and managing bids.
o Validating keyword research
o Testing and monitoring different placements
o Overseeing all ad types including:
? Sponsored Products
? Sponsored Brands
? Sponsored Display
? Video Ads
? Exploring new ad types as Amazon introduces them
o Feeding back data from PPC to the rest of the company to help the company make better decisions.
o Updating the company’s internal SOP’s relating to PPC.
o Setting up and executing PPC launches
• Launch
o Work with the Product Development team to prepare and execute new product launches.
o Work with the SKU Optimization team to re-launch or target specific keywords to improve overall performance of existing products.

Expected Accomplishments:

• PPC targets are always aligned with the company’s goals.
• PPC metrics are measured accurately.
• Campaign variables are regularly updated such as bids, TOS bid adjuster, budgets, etc.
• PPC launches rank new products within agreed upon budget.
• Keywords are graduated appropriately.
• Ad spend is not unnecessarily wasted on Amazon auto campaigns for the purpose of keyword research.
• Keywords are negative exact matched appropriately.
• Campaign structure and naming convention is strictly adhered to and followed.
Expected Proficiencies:
• The ability to document systems and processes for managing PPC, launches, and organic ranking as it relates to advertising on Amazon
• A clear understanding of the science of Amazon PPC
• Comprehensive knowledge of how to define KPI’s, track analytics, measure progress and process data in the PPC
• Advanced Amazon PPC Knowledge, strategies, and requirements
• Excellent proficiency in English (Both spoken and written).
• Ability to plan and execute strategies independently that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Proficiency in Asana, Slack, Excel, Google, Office, Loom.

Salary
• Starting at $8/hr, 20-40 hrs/week with potential for success bonus incentives once proven

As the company’s products’ sales increase and the company launches more products at a greater frequency, the PPC manager will have opportunities to benefit from successful launches he/she is a part of.

Additional brands may be partnered with or purchased. In this event the PPC Manager may be promoted to manage multiple brands and additional PPC Managers.
