The Practice Manager’s role is mainly to implement the right processes and practices across the organization. The specific duties of an operations manager include formulating strategy, improving performance and securing compliance. You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase the quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels. RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and oversee the business affairs of accounting firm
Work directly with the CEO to implement firm growth strategies
Supervise and oversee the overall staff performance including: capacity planning and staffing growth models
Oversee employee satisfaction and recommend improvements
Screen and interview candidates for job openings
Provide training and educational material for staff
Maintain employee manual and employment agreements
Handle client complaints and concerns
Manage client satisfaction and suggest ways to improve
Manage firm practice management software
Examine firm financial data and use to improve profitability
Manage firm budgets and forecasts
Manage firm projects and initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience working in a managerial position
Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
Strong preference for project management experience
Interpersonal skill to communicate with executives, staff and clients
Adaptability to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities
Desire to learn accounting firm operations and management
Familiar with administrative software for business management
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Excellent customer service with a client focus
Bachelors degree in Business, Operations Management, Project Management or related field. Preference given for Masters in Business Administration
Willing to work on US Mountain Time
