Job Description

Reporting to the Construction division, The Project Scheduler and Planner is responsible for creating, updating, and coordinating project schedules and assisting with future and current project plans, submittals and deliverables. The ideal candidate will be able to fully utilize and bring expertise with Microsoft PROJECT and PRIMAVERA scheduling software. This role works closely with team leaders to build, evaluate, and optimize project schedules and plans.
This position will be part-time remote. The Project Scheduler will be skilled at professionally engaging senior construction project managers and site superintendents, clients and other stakeholders to address issues, questions, and find optimal solutions ensuring project success.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Owner, Designers and Project Managers to develop and maintain detailed resource loaded, Critical Path Methodology construction project schedules of Design Build and Design Bid Build construction projects using MS Project, PRIMAVERA P6, and other scheduling tools and methods as required by clients.
• Integrate multiple schedules into a master project schedule, base line, status, and perform measurement baseline
• Develop and maintain summary level schedule reports: Gantt, milestone charts, and other tools used to support critical path analysis, near-term tasks work, priority-based resource allocations, performance variances, and to support cost/schedule integration
• Gather and analyze information to prepare reports on the progress of projects.
• Support the project management team in the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects, including dashboard maintenance
• Work in collaboration with project management team to drive consistency of the project scheduling approach to facilitate accuracy in project execution and reporting
• Troubleshoot and monitor potential scheduling problems
• Maintain accurate records/paperwork
• Facilitate and participate in weekly schedule reviews
• Training of Foremen, Superintendents & Project Manager to learn, or increase skills in, project scheduling company wide
• Generates conceptional schedules for leads and proposals as required
• Assists Project Managers with preconstruction duties including the development and updating of the project schedule
• Works with the Project Managers to ensure the incorporation of the subcontractors input into the project schedule
• Develops cost loading of schedules and produces monthly cash flow reports with assistance from project management team

Qualifications:
• Reading and understanding construction drawings and Federal specifications to include project schedule critical path activities
• Must be detail oriented and a self-starter
• Must fluently speak English
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Expertise with construction scheduling and project management software
• Ability to read and interpret architectural diagrams and schematics
• Time Management skills are imperative
• Expert computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook
• Must be computer self-starting and savvy with spreadsheets, sending pictures, etc., and emails
• Minimum of 5 years of construction project management and supervisory experience, preferred experience with construction projects and processes
• Minimum of 5 years of experience using MS Project, and Primavera P6 and MS Excel
• Subject matter expertise using MS Project and PRIMAVERAS to manage an integrated master schedule and the supporting detailed schedules and ensuring schedules are updated regularly
• Extremely proficient in MS Office
• Creative and innovative with assignments
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in work style to better respond to multiple requests/tasks and manage sudden changes in priorities
• Able to embrace and participate in change initiatives
• Strong organizational, analytical, and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specifications
• Excellent communication skills
• Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred or the equivalent work experience
