Job Description

To enable our ambitious revenue growth ambitions, we want to build new capabilities that support our commercial teams to work more effectively with increased commercial discipline and customer focus, empowering them with the right data, at the right time and place. Our Commercial Strategy & Planning function helps to realize that ambition, bringing together three capabilities – Market Planning, Pricing, and Analytics. Under the guidance of the Pricing lead, this role will work closely with the Sales teams on all aspects of a deal cycle.
Accountabilities:
• Working with Cirium Account Management teams to construct new sales deals:
• Providing analysis on pricing solutions to maximize revenue.
• Assisting them in building pricing solutions on non-standard or complex deals
• Offering guidance as subject matter expert on deal cycle processes
• Coordinating out-of-policy deal approval decisions
• Working with Cirium Account Management teams to improve existing deals:
• Proactively suggesting new solutions and potential deal enhancements as customers go into renewal negotiations
• Gathering evidence for Account Managers to support renewal price proposals
• Working with the Commercial Strategy team to develop a Pricing Strategy:
• Feeding insights from Sales back into Strategic pricing work
• Continuously refining pricing policies and escalation procedures (e.g approvals for high deal discounting)
• Supporting strategic pricing projects to re-shape pricing approaches for specific Industry sectors (e.g., Airlines)
• Continuously improving pricing tools and resources
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• With 2-5 years of related experience. Strong commercial acumen, experience working in or working with Sales teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills – persuasive and articulate
• Good technical skills – specifically MS Office program suite
• Experience with more advanced technical skills (e.g. Power BI, SQL, advanced Excel user), and/or CRM systems knowledge (e.g., Salesforce CRM) are a plus
