Major Purpose of the Role:
The pricing analyst will be responsible for maximizing revenue for units in multiple markets by having control of nightly rates and minimum length of stay as well as leveraging opportunities to collaborate cross-departmentally.

Essential Job Activities:
– Work with and against an in-house pricing algorithm to ensure maximized revenue. This will include adjusting algorithmic factors or price overrides for areas with above/below expected occupancy rates prioritizing the short-term window as well as event nights throughout the year.
– Use data and their developing pricing intuition to know when to break from the status quo.
– Work with other teams occasionally and will be a SME on revenue maximization regarding distribution, marketing, and ad hoc requests for their specific markets.
– Tasked to hit revenue goals (Occupancy %, ADR, revPAR) set by the DRM
– Become expert on their market’s trends and events

Sufficient Internet Access, Computer, Mouse, Keyboard, Webcam

Formal Academic Education, Training, and Certifications:
At least 2 years of post-secondary education or training, strong business experience can be used in lieu of education.

Effort Level:
– Disciplined attention to detail regarding nightly rates, discounts, and/or anything else that might affect revenue
– Flexibility to jump between multiple pricing related tasks
– Ability to frequently question the status quo
– Ability to remain on task in an autonomous WFH environment
– Desire to learn OTA channel specific intricacies
– Ability to track and measure pricing experiments
– Ability to develop a strong pricing intuition
– Strong research skills
– Desire to exceed revenue goals set by the DRM

Minimum Qualifications:
– Strong command of basic math (%’s, averages, etc)
– Basic Google Sheets / Excel skills (SUM, AVERAGE, Copy/Paste, etc) with a desire to grow

Non Essential Qualifications:
– Intermediate / Advanced Google Sheet / Excel skills
– A bachelor’s degree, especially quantitative such as economics, statistics, mathematics, finance, etc.
– Prior revenue management experience or education
– Prior experience in the Hospitality STR industry strongly preferred
