Job Description

The ideal candidate would handle all customer incoming RFQ’s and purchase orders. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Customer liaison for all requests for quotes and purchase order status.
Create and maintain customer profiles.
Process purchase orders received via email, web portal, or EDI and resolved charges in a timely manner
Manage order changes, expedites, and cancellations.
Analyze customer machining drawings for obtaining material costs and outside services.
Negotiate and create purchase orders for material requirements on customer orders.
Review order confirmations from suppliers to ensure accuracy.
Collaborate with supply chain affiliates to solve discrepancies, manage exclusions, and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Release machining travelers and drawings to the manufacturing department.
Work with the Manufacturing Department to resolve order and material issues.
Responsible for communicating customer requirements or issues to the Sales, Estimating, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Accounting departments.
Analyze open order reports to identify and resolve issues that may prevent on-time delivery. Provide updates to customers as needed.

Required Skills:
Proficient organizational skills with great attention to detail
Customer service mindset
Excellent English
Self-motivated, can work independently
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to learn our Epicor ERP software (training provided)
Effectively multitask under pressure and in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
Collaborative team member desires continuous learning

Preferred Skills:
Hands-on experience with CNC machining or other manufacturing
Able to read technical drawings
Experience with B2B sales
Negotiation skills
