**HIRING**

The Procurement Research Specialist plays a vital role in the supply chain management process. Their primary responsibility is to serve as the liaison between organizations and vendors and also develop sourcing strategies, cost analysis/standards, and quality metrics to ensure that the organization maintains a sustainable competitive advantage through its supply chain. This individual will build long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with their contacts. This position requires a lot of independent research and the ability to do a similar task multiple times a day, time management and creativity are necessary. We push for new ideas and growth. You must be well grounded, willing to learn, innovative, and a team player who can grow and add value to our company.

Individuals may perform other duties assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance workload.

As a Procurement Research Specialist, your essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Create POs and tasks via internal task management system (Click-Up) from invoices received.

Create inventory restock orders from our main supplier on a weekly basis.

Communicate cost reduction with supporting data.

Follow up on side projects of the main purchasing supplier.

Communicate warehouse supply needs for processing.

Auctions assistance, PO pricing and making the official PO

Assisting with bids per sales, cash flow, budgets and warehouse processing communications.

Research into new products from auctions/supplier offers.

Assist with quarterly purchase plans, developing marketing goals and sales projection plans.

Join supplier conference calls, help develop the seller-buyer confidence to a potential goal level of an open credit relationship for new suppliers, and show planning to current open credit suppliers.

Research into market trend projections per upcoming seasons.

Other duties as assigned.

You will bring:

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/experience.

Minimum 3+ years of proven experience in a similar role.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Self-motivation and strong research skills.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Highest standards of accuracy and precision as well as excellent organizational skills.

Time management skills and ability to build reports on tasks if requested.

Ability to clearly communicate with different levels in the organization.

Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.

Ability to type 40 words per minute.

Proficiency in use of
Google Workspace apps such Gmail and Sheets.

Microsoft Suite apps such as Excel and relevant software.

CRM and relevant software is a plus!

Strong work ethic and a high sense of urgency is required.

Self-starter who is intellectually curious and not afraid to seek out projects independently.

Candidates with a background in e-Commerce are strongly encouraged to apply!
