Job Description: Looking for a full-time independent, self-motivated virtual Procurement Assistant. The primary role of the Assistant will be to gain contracts for commercial and government companies as well as secure grant opportunities.
All employees will be subject to a 3-month trial and offered permanent employment upon successful completion of the 3-month trial.

Requirements for Position:
Competing in a procurement request for proposal (RFP) requires a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills. Here are some key skills needed for a position to compete in a procurement RFP:
1. Procurement Knowledge: Understanding procurement processes, contract management, and sourcing strategies is essential. This includes familiarity with RFPs, RFIs (Request for Information), RFQs (Request for Quotation), and other procurement methods.

2. Industry Knowledge: Having a deep understanding of the industry or sector in which the RFP is being issued is crucial. This includes knowledge of market trends, regulations, supplier landscape, and best practices.

3. Analytical Skills: The ability to analyze data, financial information, and supplier proposals is important for evaluating bids, conducting cost-benefit analyses, and making informed decisions.

4. Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills are necessary for obtaining favorable terms, pricing, and contract conditions with suppliers. This includes knowing how to create win-win situations and build long-term relationships.

5. Being able to manage complex procurement projects, timelines, and stakeholders is valuable. Project management skills help in coordinating tasks, ensuring compliance, and delivering results on time and within budget.

Communication Skills: Effective communication is key for writing clear and compelling RFP responses, as well as for interacting with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders. This includes written communication (e.g., proposals, reports) and verbal communication (e.g., presentations, negotiations). Must be able to write and create extensive and lengthy documents; Required to design and develop graphics frequently needed in proposal documents. Must be able to research the history of procurement opportunities for which you create proposal

6. Risk Management: Understanding and mitigating risks related to procurement, such as supply chain disruptions, contractual disputes, and compliance issues, is critical for successful procurement outcomes.

7. Legal and Contractual Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and contract management principles is important for drafting contracts, ensuring compliance, and managing legal risks.
8. Supplier Relationship Management (SRM): Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers is essential for optimizing performance, resolving issues, and driving innovation in procurement processes.
9. Ethical and Compliance Standards: Adhering to ethical standards, procurement policies, and compliance requirements (e.g., environmental, social, and governance criteria) is crucial for responsible and sustainable procurement practices.

10. Technology Skills: Proficiency in using procurement software, data analytics tools, and digital platforms can enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in procurement processes.

11. Strategic Thinking: Being able to think strategically, assess market dynamics, identify opportunities for improvement, and align procurement goals with organizational objectives is important for driving value and competitive advantage.

Overall, the employee
Must be able to meet and or exceed monthly quota for the completion of at least 25 or more bids proposals and support all administrative and support tasks as they relate to contract procurement.
