Permanent Position
DSA is seeking a Product Designer/Developer and Production Coordinator to join the fast-growing Production and Design team.
The Role
Responsible for the exceptional design, development, production and quality assurance of all product lines DSA. Securing DSA as the premier brand in its field and increasing market share.
Working closely with the CEO & brand manager on high-level design, efficient development and production of bulk orders to consistently improve all products through high-level knowledge of quality requirements, construction, fabrications, fits, communication with suppliers and attention to detail.
Essential Skills
Garment design
Product development of garments and accessories
Offshore garment manufacturing
Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop
Technical knowledge of garment construction and grading rules
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Design
Creating line and technical drawings, print artwork, strike-off packs, branding and graphic design as required.
Creation of graphics and embroidery artwork for corporate customers as required.
Tech Pack & Spec Creation
Creating accurate and detailed technical packs per line for offshore suppliers to ensure all samples are as required and all information is clearly communicated to all suppliers.
Creating detailed and accurate graded specs to ensure all garments fit the areas required.
Product Development
Working closely with offshore suppliers through communication to ensure all aspects of the sampling process are adhered to according to the production timeline.
Communicating and liaising with offshore suppliers regularly as required.
Inspect all samples to ensure all tech pack details have been followed.
Orders
Responsible for raising and placing purchase orders for all products.
Effectively managing those orders to ensure timely delivery of all products to meet the required deliveries.
Quality
Working closely with offshore suppliers, the CEO and the brand manager on all QA matters to ensure the delivery of premium products.
Applying technical experience, knowledge of product construction and a sound understanding of workmanship to achieve the best possible results regarding the quality of the product.
Responsible for quality check and comment/approval of all pre-production samples, pre-shipping samples and bulk goods, ensuring that all goods meet the required quality standard.
Accurately report quality issues to the suppliers and ensure that all quality issues are rectified in bulk production through clear communication and problem management.
Researching, establishing and enforcing QA standards, policies and procedures. Ensure all suppliers are trained and educated on the required standards and processes.
This is a full-time position with long-term employment prospects. Salary is dependent on skills and experience.
