Job Description: Product Developer

Role Summary:
The Product Developer will play a pivotal role in overseeing the end-to-end product development cycle, ensuring the adherence to established standards and the seamless progression of product initiatives. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, the Product Developer will ensure the successful execution of market research, competitor analysis, pricing strategies, quality benchmarks, and production timelines. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong aptitude for effective communication and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Research:
-Lead primary and secondary research efforts to gain insights into evolving market trends and evolving customer preferences.
-Utilize research findings to inform and guide product development strategies.
2. Competitor Analysis:
-Conduct comprehensive evaluations of competitor products to extract insights that can positively impact our product pipeline.
-Identify opportunities for differentiation and improvement based on competitor analysis.
3. Pricing Strategy:
-Collaborate with sales and finance teams to develop and implement robust pricing strategies that ensure competitiveness and profitability.
-Monitor pricing dynamics in the market and adjust strategies accordingly.
4. Features & Quality:
-Monitor and oversee the integration of specified product features and ensure adherence to established quality benchmarks.
-Collaborate with relevant teams to address any quality-related concerns during the development process.
5. Sizing & Fit:
-Work closely with design and production departments to ensure products align with target demographic specifications and industry standards for sizing and fit.
-Provide input to enhance user experience and product comfort.
6. Product Illustration Design Oversight:
-Supervise the design phase to ensure that product illustrations accurately represent key features and attributes.
-Collaborate with the design team to create visually compelling product representations.
7. Fabric & Trims:
-Oversee the selection and validation of fabrics and trims to ensure alignment with quality and aesthetic standards.
-Collaborate with relevant teams to address any challenges related to material selection.
8. Packaging & Packing Methods:
-Lead the product packaging process, balancing aesthetics, protective measures, and cost-effectiveness.
-Collaborate with packaging and logistics teams to optimize packaging solutions.
9. Sampling & Testing:
-Monitor adherence to the sampling timeline and testing requirements, working in coordination with the merchandising team.
-Oversee revisions to samples based on feedback from internal stakeholders and testing outcomes.
10. Timeline Management:
-Develop and manage the development-to-approval timeline, ensuring milestones are achieved as scheduled.
-Proactively identify potential bottlenecks and implement solutions to maintain timeline integrity.

Qualifications and Skills:
-Proven Experience in Product Management
-Demonstrable experience in overseeing end-to-end product development processes.
-Familiarity with the complexities of fabrics, trims, packaging, and product presentation.
-Strong time management skills with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks.
-Excellent communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration across diverse departments.

Preferred (but not required):
-Prior experience in the apparel industry.
-Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
-Relevant certifications in Project Management or Product Development.
