As Product Manager (Rails and Fencing), you are responsible for the development and launch of new rails and fencing products, as well as the management of the existing rails and fencing product portfolio. The Product Manager will work closely with media, marketing, and sales to ensure that the company’s handrails products meet the needs of the customers and comply with all safety regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1) Subject Matter Expertise
– Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) of CR Rail & Fence products.
– Ensure that all product information, measurements, and specifications are accurate, up to date, and easily accessible in our internal systems.
– Provide the means for team members to access accurate and up-to-date information regarding our railing and fencing products.
2) Product Management
– Manage the development and launch of new railing, railing systems, and fencing products, from concept to market.
– Conduct market research to analyze competitor products and identify new opportunities and trends in the railing and fencing markets.
– Conceptualize and develop designs for railing and fencing systems.
Review customer experience with the product and identify ways to improve instructions, content, spare parts and/or item itself.
3) Product Content Management
– Work with content creation team to create write ups / instructions that address technical questions as well as technical installation questions related to our products.
– Constantly improve our product content (whether it be printed guides, online FAQ, how-to information, etc.)
Requirements:
– Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred).
– Experience: (1) At least 6 years of proven experience in product management and / or product engineering, preferably in the manufacturing or similar industry. (2) Proven experience in project management required.
– Scope of Control: Has control over a team’s work

– Task Complexity: (1) Tasks are more complex and require some problem-solving skills. (2) There is some ambiguity or uncertainty involved in completing the tasks. (3) The tasks require more specialized skills and knowledge. (4) The tasks can be completed in a reasonable amount of time.
– Hardware Required: (1) The level of hardware required needs to be sufficient for basic tasks such as web browsing, email, and word processing. (2) The hardware requirements for this level are relatively low, and a basic computer or laptop will be sufficient.

Interview Process
– The interview process is all initially at your pace. We only do in-person interview in the final step. We will initially ask yes/no & numeric questions to verify your relevant experience. And then we will ask you up to 5 situation base questions to understand gauge your experience, logic & communication skills.
– After which, we might have some clarification questions for you.
– Then we will select a few applicants to do a paid trail task (we will provide actual problems / issue we face that you will try to resolve).
– Lastly, we will do a final in person interview (at this point, you would most likely have passed most of the job competency and experience assessment and this is a job/culture fit + opportunity for you to ask/understand us better).
