Ultra Labs is a U.S.-based business incubator/accelerator that focuses on software/tech-based businesses. We are currently seeking a talented Product Owner to join our team and contribute to the development and delivery of innovative products in a variety of sectors.

Job Description:
As a Product Owner, you’ll be responsible for defining and prioritizing product features, managing the product backlog, and ensuring that the development team delivers high-quality solutions that meet user needs and business objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable user stories.

Responsibilities:
– Define and prioritize product features and requirements based on stakeholder input and business objectives.
– Develop and maintain a detailed product backlog, ensuring that it is clear, concise, and prioritized.
– Write user stories and acceptance criteria that accurately capture business requirements and user needs.
– Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and priorities.
– Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to support the agile development process.
– Act as the main point of contact for the development team to clarify requirements and provide guidance.
– Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that delivered features meet the acceptance criteria and quality standards.
– Gather and analyze user feedback to drive continuous improvement and inform future product development.
– Communicate product vision, goals, and progress to stakeholders and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Qualifications:
– Excellent spoken and written English.
– 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role.
– Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
– Familiarity with JIRA for project management.
– Proven ability to write clear and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
– Experience in prioritizing and managing a product backlog.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently with self-direction.
– Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
– Open and receptive to feedback.

Nice to Have:
– Experience in the software/tech industry.
– Background in UX/UI design or software development.
– Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification.
– Experience with user acceptance testing (UAT).
