Kitsch is looking for a talented and experienced Product & Packaging Development Specialist who will ensure that all aspects of packaging and production tasks stay consistent and on-brand. This person will be responsible for ensuring that production and packaging processes are started and executed in a clear, precise and timely manner and for effectively communicating with key stakeholders and departments throughout the design to launch process.
To be successful, we are looking for a fast worker, who can quickly turn around finished assets while maintaining an exceptional eye for detail. You will balance creativity with business, most importantly have fun!
HERE’S WHAT A DAY AT WORK MAY LOOK LIKE…
After the concept is briefed by the management team, the Product & Packaging Development Specialist will lead the end-to-end development process;
Handles and manages overall Product & Packaging Development coordination and communication from factories to Kitsch and Kitsch to factories;
Reviews development samples thoroughly and ensures that the products & packaging are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and meeting the needs of the target audience;
Owns the product & packaging development calendar across all products within the categories being overseen, ensuring that quoting and sampling proceed in a timely, organized manner;
Manages the product & packaging development budget, ensuring that all expenditures are within the budget and aligned with margin targets;
Assists the Quality team in ensuring that the products are tested thoroughly to meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards; and helps identify and fix any issues found before launch;
Manages product development internal documents and files;
Performs other related tasks as may be assigned.
ABOUT YOU…
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a design, marketing, project management or business discipline.
Proven track record of successfully managing projects: Must possess strong project management skills with experience in overseeing and following through on processes and projects.
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize, think quickly and meet tight deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
Able to effectively negotiate and diplomatically manage conflicting points of view.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to collaborate with individuals from factories overseas and within the organization
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Previous work experience and knowledge of trending beauty industry is a plus
Experience with Asana is a plus.
