About This Position:
The Product Photographer / Editor reports into the Marketing Team and is responsible for capturing product photos on various background and lay-flat environments and processing the digital images into final assets to be distributed across our marketing channels. You will photograph jewelry and apparel on white backgrounds and creative lay-flat environments that speak to our marketing campaigns a. You will edit the images you shoot, performing actions such as: retouching, color balancing, cropping, image cleanup, and ultimately, aligning the look and feel of the images with our brand. You will also edit lifestyle images supplied by photographers around the world shooting under different lighting conditions and with varying equipment. It is imperative we ensure all images have a cohesive look and feel.
You will be responsible for managing your own projects, shooting the product, sourcing props and backgrounds, editing, uploading, organizing, and tagging images within our Data Asset Management system and working collaboratively with the creative team.
Responsibilities:
-Take direction from the Marketing Team and creative team to capture professional-quality product images.
-Photograph supplied product on studio white and creative lay-flat environmental sets.
-Process and distribute images in a timely manner.
-Upload, organize, and tag images within our Data Asset Management system.
-Assist in designing emails, webpages, blogs, and social media content.
-Communicate with team members on the status of projects via Asana.
-Edit using Adobe Creative Suite and provide project files for future revisions.
-Work with graphic artists to help design marketing materials for wholesale, retail, and partnership channels.
Qualifications:
-4 years experience as a Product Photographer / Editor with a US or Canada based company or organization.
-Self-motivated and focused with a high-level of attention to detail and a keen eye for design.
-Deep understanding of studio lighting.
-Candidate must supply their own equipment, including: cameras, lenses, and studio setup.
-Proven ability to communicate, both verbally and written, with people at all levels of an organization.
-Must be a master at Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and InDesign.
-Must have an extensive product photography portfolio including on-figure and lay-downs.
-Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while working independently.
-Have a real passion for protecting our environment and the ocean
