Production Artist Job Description
Night of Mystery is looking for a creative and detail-oriented production artist to join our team! Within our homegrown organization, the production artist’s main responsibilities will revolve around updating current mystery files, inputting copy into templated files, uploading edited files to the mystery site’s backend, and putting the finishing touches on various creative projects. In the future, we hope to expand their duties to include some layout design and initial design work, so basic design work is a plus!

Ultimately, our top-notch candidate would be a team player who is an expert with Adobe design software (most importantly InDesign), great with web-based digital interfaces, has excellent time management skills and a keen eye for details, no matter how small.
Production Artist Responsibilities:
Using Adobe Indesign to edit and finalize designs and layouts.
Reviewing graphics, layouts, and fonts before designs are completed.
Saving out new files in PDF format, then uploading edited files to the website’s backend.
Making improvements to images and image quality in print and digital formats.
Following development timelines to ensure projects are completed on time.
Troubleshooting any problems with the design team and project manager.
Following up with managers to ensure their expectations have been met.
Keeping up to date with graphic design trends, techniques, and software.
Maintain an organized file structure for all design assets, ensuring easy access and retrieval. Follow best practices for version control and file naming conventions.
Must be willing to work USA Hours (EST, CST or MST).
Production Artist Requirements:
Proven work experience as a production artist, graphic designer, or similar.
Expertise in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Familiarity with other graphic design tools and emerging design software is a plus.
Basic knowledge of web-based software, including WordPress and Elementor.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Team player who desires to work in a creative environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency of English Language a Must.
Preferred qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in visual arts, design, or a related field.
A portfolio of completed graphics and designs.
