Project Estimator

Unió Digital is a Tucson, Arizona based full-service information technology, cloud services provider, and
structured cabling company offering comprehensive managed I.T. services, hosted email/voice/security
solutions, and low voltage cabling services. We believe in dreaming big and making it real, and we’re
looking for a skilled Project Estimator who shares our vision.

We are seeking a skilled project estimator with experience in structured cabling / low voltage projects.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD drawings, as well as estimating
costs for projects involving data cabling, fiber optic cabling, low voltage cabling, access control, and
security camera hardware installations. You will play a critical role in the planning and execution of our
projects, helping us deliver top-tier, client-driven results.

Duties
• Evaluate CAD drawings and project blueprints to create comprehensive project estimates.
• Calculate costs for structured cabling, conduit, access control, and security camera hardware
projects.
• Provide detailed breakdowns of costs, including materials, labor, and time requirements.
• Develop detailed project scopes and estimates, ensuring all aspects of the project are captured
and communicated effectively to the sales team and clients.
• Work collaboratively with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and
competitive estimates.
• Participate in project bid preparation and presentation.
• Stay updated on industry trends, cost fluctuations, and technological advancements in
structured cabling and associated fields.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective
resource procurement.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide input from an estimator’s perspective.
• Maintain meticulous records of all estimating documents.

Qualification
• A degree in Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as an estimator in structured cabling, access control, or security camera
projects. Experience with electrical sub-contracting would also be considered.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction bid sets, floor plan markups, and CAD
drawings.
• Experience with door access and/or security camera hardware installations.
• Ability to use estimating software such as Revu or IPVM.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and math skills for estimating bids.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
