Our client – a remote software development company, is seeking a talented and proactive Project Manager to join their team. As a Proactive Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring project success by driving project discussions, facilitating collaboration, and actively participating in technical lead discussions with engineers. We need someone who takes charge, demonstrates strong leadership skills, and actively contributes to the technical aspects of our projects.

Responsibilities:

– Initiate and drive project discussions, gather requirements from stakeholders, and ensure clear project objectives
– Lead project planning, execution, and monitoring from initiation to closure
– Define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
– Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
– Coordinate and communicate with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and clear expectations
– Identify and mitigate project risks, and resolve issues as they arise
– Monitor project progress, track key metrics, and provide regular updates to stakeholders
– Actively participate in technical lead discussions with engineers to understand project feasibility and technical requirements
– Apply project management best practices and methodologies to ensure successful project outcomes
– Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, promoting effective communication and problem-solving

Requirements:

– Solid foundation in programming concepts and a comprehensive understanding of software development processes
– Proven experience as a Project Manager, successfully delivering software development projects
– Strong initiative and ability to proactively drive project discussions and engage with stakeholders
– Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
– Ability to actively participate in technical lead discussions with engineers
– Solid understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
– Strong organizational and time management skills
– Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field *(preferred but not required)*

Nice to Have:

– Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
– Experience with agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
– Familiarity with project management software and collaboration tools
